To New Heights of Passions

     This is the start of the beginning of my artistic journey. This piece represents myself, items, and people who are of importance to me. I only can take myself to newer heights and let it consume me. I chosen to use some of my favorite items and images my children have created-- crayons and colored pencils to  tattoo machines and water colored images. I photographed and digitally manipulated these images very carefully-- precisely placing them, in fact.  I know I can observe this piece and remember, at any time, what path I should choose to go down on this adventurous journey of self, art, and passion.

Final Assignment In Progress

This is the start of my final project I don't want to give away everything I'm going to be trying with this! ;)
I can say it will be going with the first skull assignment I did. It will have similar items in this as seen in the first :) It will need to be all printed out to get the overall effect. The overall feel will go along with the first project ...a more me "mood".  I will be printing this and other pieces multiple sizes but proportional to the first piece...mainly the skull. I feel like this piece is one I could just keep adding or do a series with...I am serious about doing more in the future. I've have so much fun!! Any feed back would be nice...mainly anything I could improve on or things I could have done better technically. Thanks all! :)

Final Assignment

Despite last week's issues I will be still completing a final project. I have many ideas floating in my head. One is adding more to my skull themed first project. I'm still tossing around ideas about it. Not sure if I just want to completely create something new or not. I completed an awesomely fun skull tattoo yesterday so leaning more towards the skull idea. With this in mind I will be photographing my own items to use again. I had quite a bit of fun last time so I know I will again.  I can't decide weather it will be a series or just more canvases add to the first idea. Still thinking away....We will see!

Assignment #3 Final

I changed my original idea and when with something a little more simple and straight forward. These are my babies... my machines I worked very hard and long to have. It was a long road to get them but I finally achieved my goal of advancing forward. I "mapped" my current machines! Like I said, its pretty straight forward and right there placed in a square alternated by color of machines.

I really left the mood up to the viewer, like what most tattoos that are done with these machines and many others, leave interpretation up to the observer. I convey this by the simple design and the mix between color and black & grey checked through this piece. 

This piece started off in a certain direction and ended with completely new and simple design.

Assignment 3

    I want to use tattoo machines from the beginning of "tattoo machines" to create a mosaic type picture in the shape of one of my machines! I'm hoping to collect enough images so that up close you can see details of each machine but from a distance you can only see the one machine.  I'm thinking that all the pictures combined in this way will be conformative enough to satisfy the copyright issue. Penelope Umbrico inspired me for this endeavor. :)

I enjoyed Mirror_Space the best. Its funny how it brings new means to seeing someone's mood. It a different way of viewing that in this technologically savvy environment we are in. Besides the concept of it, the visualization is quite remarkable and brilliantly displayed. Beautiful!

Copyrights are used to protect artist's rights. The specifics for copyright laws are always changing. However, fair use is a gray area but it allows people to use certain parts of copyrighted material as long as it follows certain guidelines such as but not limited to :

2. non profit profit
3. its transformative enough
4. critique

With the gray area there is no specific guidelines so one must be careful using copyrighted material.
